Ulster Back
London Irish sign Humphreys
Fly-half Ian Humphreys is to leave Ulster at the end of the season after agreeing a move to London Irish.
The 30-year-old will join the English Premiership side this summer, despite having a year left on his Ulster contract.
Humphreys returned to his native Ulster in 2008 and has been key to some of Ulster’s performances in the Heineken Cup over the past two seasons, most notably against Biarritz in 2011.
However his indifferent form has seen him struggle this season, and last month he missed out in the Heineken semi-final against Edinburgh.
It is understood Humphreys will vie for the number 10 jersey with Shane Geraghty, who returns to the Exiles’ after a three-year run with Northampton Saints.
